Happy 2011 -- Everyone!

Has anyone else thought of what the date will be at midnight? No, I am not having a blonde moment, LOL!
It will be 1/1/11 or 01/01/11 . I don't know if I will ever see that again in my lifetime :) Just  a random thought for processing? Now on with my post.

Well, considering how I have been feeling the past week or sooo. I will be staying at home and snuggling with my Mr. Wonderful and celebrating with my teens.

So we will be watching the clock with some bubbly in our hand, praying for a Healthy, Prosperous and Safe new year.  The emphasis here at our house is definitely on the Healthy, not the other two are not welcome or anything :)

Last but not least, we will be watching the notorious New York City Ball Drop in Time Square. We are pretty boring this year, but sometimes it is nice to be "boring" :)

Well, I pray everyone has a AWESOME 2011!

Have you ever had blurry vision?

Well, what I mean is? Have you ever thought you had a clear vision for something and then wham-o out of no where something happens. Then all of a sudden everything that was clear becomes  clear as "mud" in our mind???
On top of that my camera is acting just the way I am feeling (go figure). Hence, this blurry pic of the Christmas tree. Well, come to find out I have one really bad kidney infection, it is amazing how an infection can disrupt everything. It is like it put a "room for rent sign" in your brain, well at least in my brain :) I am still not feeling up to "par" as they say, but not near as bad as I was. However, the really good present that I received from my husband (of course it is both of ours) was a Nikon 7000.

What an awesome camera, it may take some getting used to though. Now all I need is Photoshop and I will be set :) I know, geesh, what else could a girl ask for, right??

I hope to take some pics and post them real soon. Please come back and visit,

First Blog Posting

Welcome to Roses, Rhubarb and Pearls!
I thought it was fitting to offer you some of our fresh baked and decorated Christmas cookies.
I am happy that you have taken the time to step through my screen door and into my kitchen.  However, on any given day you could be stepping into my craft room, dining room, garden or just about anywhere I may end up with my camera. You see I am a very eclectic person and I like soooo many different things, that I have had a hard time pinpointing a name for my blog. Hence, I have come up with Roses, Rhubarb and Pearls. now if you are like my husband, he said "What?" while scratching his head.

Then I explained to him the following reasons: (Then he kind of got the idea :))

Roses - remember to look for the beautiful things in life
Rhubarb - remember to enjoy simple things of  life
Pearls - remember to throw in a dash of elegance and a whole lot of wisdom in everyday.

So I think this name will cover my eclectic style and hopefully spark your interest. As I blog I hope to find my niche and make alot of great friends along the way.

I will probably ask for help along the way too. Not probably I definitely will :)
Please leave me a comment so I know you found me.

Happy Holidays,
Chrissy
